Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress Li pieces from remaining on the surface of an active material layer in lithium ion predoping, in an electrode using perforated foil as a collector.SOLUTION: An electrode 1 includes metal foil as a collector 2 having a plurality of through holes 2a, and an active material layer 3 which covers one side or both sides of the metal foil (collector 2). The active material layer 3 includes an active material formed of a carbon material which can occlude and discharge lithium ions. The surface roughness Rz of the active material layer 3 is controlled to 1 (μm) or more but 20 (μm) or less.
