PORTABLE TERMINAL AND MESSAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for automatically generating a message informing an opposite terminal of a person with whom a user has an appointment of a present status of the user.SOLUTION: In a portable terminal 1, a schedule storage part 104 stores appointment data including an appointment date, an appointment place and the address of an opposite terminal. A monitoring target appointment setting part 112 retrieves appointment data whose appointment date is the closest from the schedule storage part 104 and sets the appointment data as appointment data of a monitoring target appointment. A spot information acquisition part 108 acquires spot information of a current location detected by a current location detection part 107 from a map information server. A navigation information acquisition part 110 acquires navigation information including an estimated arrival time on the appointment place included in the appointment data of the monitoring target appointment from a navigation information server. A message generation part 115 generates a message including the spot information of the current location and the estimated arrival time on the appointment place. A message transmission control part 113 transmits this message to the opposite terminal of the monitoring target appointment.
