PIPELINE TYPE A/D CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipeline type A/D converter capable of removing restriction on a dither quantity due to an offset of a comparator.SOLUTION: A pipeline type A/D converter 100 which converts an analog signal into a digital signal includes a plurality of cascaded stages, and an error correction circuit 101 which generates a digital signal on the basis of sub digital signals output from the plurality of stages respectively. When outputting an N-bit sub digital signal, at least one of the plurality of stages is such that a stage gain of a transfer function is 2, a folding-back number is 2-4, 2-2, or 2, and the number of bits overlapping when error correction is made with an adjacent stage is 2.
