PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that can remove, with a simple operation, not only dust stuck to a dust collection container but also dust accumulated therein without making user's fingers dirty with the dust.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust collection case 10 which is provided freely attachably/detachably in a cleaner body 2 with a built-in electric blower, wherein the dust collection case 10 has a freely openable/closeable lid body 12 and has a dust-collecting dust collection container 20 housed inside, and discharges dust by protruding of the dust collection container 20 from the front opening 33 of the dust collection case 10 when the lid body 12 opens. The vacuum cleaner is characterized in that the vacuum cleaner includes a lever 8 (input part) which imparts vibration to the dust collection container 20 protruding from the front opening 33 of the dust collection case 10, by reciprocating the lever manually by a user.
