Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve regeneration efficiency by securing a supply destination of regenerative electric power upon using an electric brake, controlling a load of a load device in a vehicle and maintaining an overhead wire voltage at a value suitable for regeneration operation, and to improve the stop position accuracy of an ATO vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle includes; an AC motor which is driven by an inverter; a torque control means for controlling the torque of the AC motor; a load which is supplied with a DC side voltage of the inverter; and a load adjusting device for adjusting the load according to the DC side voltage of the inverter when the electric vehicle decelerates using the torque control means. When a vehicle speed reaches a predetermined valued or lower by the automatic driving of the electric vehicle, the load is increased by the load adjusting means.
