Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dismantling method of a battery capable of taking out an electrode group safely without causing any damage thereon, and separating and collecting the components and materials included in the battery easily while minimizing mixture of impurities into the battery constituents.SOLUTION: An opening 11a is formed by making a circular cut 11c in the bottom 11b of a cylindrical bottomed outer container 11 constituting a battery 10 thereby providing a cut and separated part 11d. Furthermore, an outlet 11f is formed by making a cut 11e in the peripheral direction on the lid member 12 side of the outer container 11. Thereafter, an electrode group 14 in the outer container 11 is pressed in the lid member 12 direction from the opening 11a side by pushing the cut and separated part 11d from the opening 11a toward the inside of the outer container 11, thus taking out the electrode group 14 from the outlet 11f formed on the lid member 12 side of the outer container 11.
