Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the swinging of the carriage caused by the lifting of the carriage from a gap adjusting cam, or the lifting of the gap adjusting cam from a slide member in a gap adjusting mechanism for adjusting a PG (a gap between a recording head and a paper sheet) by sliding the gap adjusting cam interposed between the carriage and the slide member.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes: the carriage 28 including a recording head 29; a slider 33 provided so that the position of the slider relative to a carriage body 28a is changeable in a direction where the PG changes, which moves together with the carriage 28 in a main scanning direction; a guide member 41 with which the slider 33 slides; a cam member 34 interposed between the slider 33 and part of the carriage body 28a so at to change the PG; and a leaf spring 37 exerting a biasing force between the slider 33 and the carriage body 28a so as to bring the slider 33 and the carriage body 28a more close to each other.
