Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable device for proximately irradiating an internal tissue.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device 10 for delivering a proximate irradiation to a target tissue region, having a proximal end 32 and a distal end 34 each sized to enter between tissues and an elongated body supporting two or more elongated members having pathways for receiving a radiation source. The elongated members can move between a folded structure and an expanded structure. During use, a tube passing the tissue is formed, and the elongated body supporting the elongated members is brought through the tube forward to a target position with the folded structure of the elongated members. The elongated members are directed to the expanded structure at the target position so as to, for instance, introduce one or more radiation sources along the pathways, thereby delivering the radiation and treating the tissue in the target position. This device is characterized by preventing an excess expansion and/or facilitating a prompt folding of the elongated members.
