PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in arrangement accuracy of a primary transfer roller due to thermal expansion of a link member.SOLUTION: The transfer device 10 includes a primary transfer roller, a second link member 22 and a regulation member 26. The regulation member 26 regulates displacement in a second direction 95 of the second link member 22 rather than a predetermined position. The second link member 22 moves to displace the primary transfer roller. The second link member 22 is divided into a plurality of link arms 27, 28 whose total length is freely changed within a predetermined range. A joint part includes an expansion member 29 that biases the link arms in a direction of increasing the total length L1 when a cam 23 is rotated at a third angle to maximally separate the second link member 22 from a cam shaft 231, and first and second engagement parts 272, 282 that are engaged with each other so that the total length L1 may not exceed a maximum value. The total length L1 to be obtained when the cam 23 is rotated at the third angle is a value excluding the minimum and maximum values.
