Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing specific olefins from ethylene with high selectivity and stably for long period without decreasing heat removal capability of a heat exchanger, wherein the decrease in heat removal capability is considered to occur due to deposition of materials attached to walls of a reactor.SOLUTION: In a method for producing olefins by an addition reaction of ethylene in the presence of a transition metal catalyst, a content rate of a solid polymer, a by-product produced during the reaction, and particle size distribution thereof are controlled in a specific range. For example, a method of allowing a specific carrier to carry a transition metal catalyst component, a method of using a transition metal catalyst with high polymerization activity, and the like, and the combinations thereof are included.
