ILLUMINATION CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control device for vehicle, capable of maintaining texture desired of the interiors in a car compartment, even if illuminance in the car compartment dynamically changes by the light source outside the vehicle.SOLUTION: The illumination control device includes: a database 1 that stores a three dimensional shape and a reflection characteristic of members constituting a car compartment; a light source distribution measurement means 2 that is disposed in the car compartment and measures the illuminance; a composite image generation means 3 that generates a car compartment composite image based on the illuminance measured by the light source distribution measurement means and the data of the three dimensional shape and the reflection characteristics of the members constituting the car compartment read from the database; a lighting means 4 disposed in the car compartment; and a lighting control means 5 that detects the frequency distribution of the illuminance of the members composing the car compartment from the car compartment composite image and controls the lighting means to expand the illuminance range of the frequency distribution of the illuminance.
