PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period for writing-back a compressed moving image and storing the moving image to an image editing apparatus.SOLUTION: An image editing apparatus for editing at least one piece of image data to generate edited moving image data comprises moving image generation means which generates a first edited moving image file by using a first parameter so as to allow for reproduction of the generated edited moving image data by an external apparatus different from the image editing apparatus and generates a second edited moving image file by using a second parameter so as to allow for reproduction of the edited moving image data by an image reproduction apparatus different from the external device.
