Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-efficient hermetic compressor, in which a portion of return coolant gas from an intake pipe is directly introduced into a heat insulation layer to suppress the flow of the coolant gas from the heat insulation gas to a tail pipe and thus reduce a temperature increase of the coolant gas passing through an intake muffler.SOLUTION: The intake muffler 157 includes a muffler body 165, the tail pipe 159 for introducing the coolant gas 111 into the muffler body, and a muffler cover 169 for forming the heat insulation layer 167 outside the muffler body. A coolant introducing inlet 175 communicated with the heat insulation layer is provided near the intake port 171 provided at one end of the tail pipe. The heat insulation layer prevents the coolant gas 111 passing through the muffler body from being heated by a motor element 103, and further suppresses the coolant gas 111 heated in the heat insulation layer from being flown and mixed into the muffler body, thus improving volume efficiency and the efficiency of the hermetic compressor.
