Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydrogenating a titanium alloy and a titanium alloy being a raw material, with which the titanium alloy can be inexpensively produced, particularly having a uniform composition and further suitable for near net shape processes.SOLUTION: The method for hydrogenating a titanium alloy is characterized in that a titanium alloy is brought into contact with a hydrogen gas in the pressure range of 1 atmospheric pressure (100 kPa) to 3.5 atmospheric pressure (350 kPa) and in the temperature range of 500°C to 770°C to be reacted. In the method, preferably, a titanium alloy is brought into contact with a hydrogen gas at room temperature, temperature is increased up to 600°C to 770°C, and thereafter, temperature is reduced, and, preferably, the content of hydrogen in the generated titanium hydride alloy is ≥3.9%. |
