PROGRAM RECORDING DEVICE AND PROGRAM RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire program information of each program without producing an unrecorded portion when video recording programs continuously broadcast on an identical channel.SOLUTION: A program recording device includes: a reception module for receiving a broadcast stream transmitted from a program provider; program recording means, which records on a recording device a program data based on the broadcast stream, for recording on the recording device one piece of program data including a plurality of programs, when recording the plurality of programs transmitted from the provider in continuous broadcast time zones; program information acquisition means for acquiring information of the plurality of programs corresponding to the plurality of programs; generation means for generating a plurality of pieces of program data corresponding to the plurality of programs by dividing the one piece of program data on the basis of each broadcast time of the plurality of programs; and generation means for generating information for associating the plurality of pieces of program data with the information of the plurality of programs.
