Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in an initialization device of an optical recording medium, a minor axis (a half-value width) of a beam spot is preferably 2 to 10 μm and, when a transit time of the beam spot is too long, a temperature of the site increases more than necessary, thus causing deformation of a recording film.SOLUTION: The initialization device applies a laser beam and executes initial crystallization of the optical recording medium including at least two or more metal and metal alloy layers for making the optical recording medium recordable initially. The beam spot of the laser beam is arranged such that an angle with respect to a longitudinal recording track direction becomes 0< ≤90°. On the optical recording film, the width (a half-value width of the peak power)×[m] of the beam spot, the angle [degree] of the beam spot with respect to the longitudinal recording track direction, and a moving speed v [m/s] of the optical recording medium to which the laser beam is applied satisfy the following relational expression: 1×10 |
