SOLIDIFICATION AGENT FOR RESIDUAL FIBER AND SOLIDIFICATION METHOD FOR RESIDUAL FIBER HAVING DANGER OF DUST SCATTERING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solidification agent for a residual fiber that is contained in a sprayed layer of asbestos and the like in an existing building and the like, and to provide a solidification method for the residual fiber.SOLUTION: The solidification agent for the residual fiber contains an alkaline silicate solution as a main component. The solidification method comprises: applying a dust scattering inhibitor containing an alkaline silicate solution as a main component to the sprayed layer having danger of dust scattering and impregnating the sprayed layer with the dust scattering inhibitor; then removing the whole of the sprayed layer having danger of dust scattering from a substrate; and solidifying and sealing a fiber that remains in the substrate and has danger of dust scattering by applying the solidification agent for the residual fiber containing the alkaline silicate solution as the main component.
