MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR α-HYDROXY ACID SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for manufacturing a salt of α-hydroxy acid as an intermediate for synthesizing α-hydroxy acid derivatives which promotes carboxylation promptly by the COsupplementation reaction even if the substrate having a weak functional group to a strong base is used under mild reaction conditions.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a salt of α-hydroxy acid represented by formula (2) comprises reacting an organotin compound represented by formula (1) with COin the presence of CsF, wherein Rdenotes a substituted or unsubstituted 6-14C aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted 3-9C heteroaryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted 2-14C alkenyl group, Rdenotes a substituted or unsubstituted 1-8C alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted 2-7C acyl group, and R' denotes a linear or branched 1-4C alkyl group.
