Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide infrared emission glass in which infrared emission by bismuth is obtained even when it is not an excessively limited glass composition, and in which homogeneity is easily securable in the case of glass manufacturing using melt method, and which is excellent in devitrification resistance, and which is suitable for mold press molding.SOLUTION: When the total amount of glass is set to be 100 mol%, the infrared emission glass includes a glass composition containing, as an oxide composition, (1) PO: 45 to 75 mol%, (2) AlO: 3 to 25 mol%, (3) RO: 5 mol% or more and less than 30 mol% (wherein, R is at least one selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn), and (4) BiO: 0.1 to 5 mol%. The infrared emission glass is characterized by emitting fluorescent light in an infrared wavelength region by irradiation of excited light. |
