Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which has high luminous efficiency and an excellent emission life with little change in emission color over time.SOLUTION: A full-color display device uses the organic electroluminescent element as a pixel of a display unit A. The organic electroluminescent element includes an anode, a cathode, and an organic layer composed of a single or a plurality of layers including a light-emitting layer. The organic layer is held between the anode and the cathode. At least one layer of the organic layers contains a phosphorescent organic metal complex which has a compound represented by a general formula (1) as a ligand.
