PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch sensor device capable of improving the performance of a touch screen, and a driving method of the touch sensor device.SOLUTION: A touch sensor device includes: a touch screen including a Tx line, an Rx line intersecting the Tx line, and a touch sensor formed between the Tx line and the Rx line; and a touch screen driving circuit which detects the presence/absence of touch input by primarily sensing all touch sensors in the touch screen in a primary sensing step, and then detects a position of the touch input by secondarily sensing the touch sensors in which the touch input is detected as a result of the primary sensing, in a secondary sensing step.
