Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity of an optical system configuration including a special lens system, aberration correction and distortion correction, in adjusting individual interpupillary distances of HMDs of binocular types, and conducting various adjustments for coinciding a convergence distance and a viewing distance.SOLUTION: Oscillation mirrors 6 and 7 two dimensionally deflect beam light from a light source 10 with reflection mirrors. Eye piece optical systems 15 to 17 separate the beam light from the oscillation mirrors and respectively guide the beam light to left/right eyes 18. A mirror driving unit 5 varies the oscillation angles of the oscillation mirrors for video signals for the left/right eyes according to an optical path length difference due to the interpupillary distance d of the eye piece optical systems. Alternatively, an image processing unit 8 varies lengths of display periods of the video signals for the left/right eyes according to the optical path length difference due to the interpupillary distance d.
