Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for extracting a three-dimensional image from a three-dimensional (3D) volume of interest from a three-dimensional (3D) image data set.SOLUTION: The method includes a step of accessing to the 3D image data set including a plurality of image slices, a step of surrounding the 3D volume of interest in the 3D image data set with a 3D mesh, a step of automatically extracting the 3D volume of interest based on the 3D mesh, and a step of generating a 3D image of the extracted 3D volume of interest.
