Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an efficiency of a device configuration of an optical writing device that is compatible with different kinds of LED array (LEDA) by setting up an address translation table.SOLUTION: The optical writing device includes: a speed conversion unit 121 for obtaining pixel information on pixels constituting an image to be formed; an array conversion SRAM 122 for converting an array of the pixel information; a read address generation memory 124 for obtaining and storing the address translation table that indicates a conversion mode of the array of the pixel information according to a light source for exposing a photoreceptor; and a decoder 125 for generating and outputting a light address signal for controlling the conversion of the array of the pixel information. The read address generation memory 124 is divided into a plurality of storage areas that are simultaneously accessible so as to divide and store the address translation table in the plurality of storage areas.
