Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which makes it difficult for a user to hear the sound generated when electrical discharge is performed for releasing ions to thereby prevent the user from feeling uncomfortable.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 comprises: an air blowing part 2 which has a housing 2a provided with an inlet 5 and an outlet 6; an air passage 14 which is provided in the air blowing part 2 so as to connect the inlet 5 and the outlet 6 to each other; a blower fan 8 which is provided in the air passage 14 so as to circulate air from the inlet 5 toward the outlet 6; and an ion generator 7 which is provided adjacent to the air passage 14 and which releases, by electrical discharge, ions into the air upstream in an air circulation direction to the blower fan 8 provided in the air passage 14. Consequently, the magnitude of sound generated when the electrical discharge is performed for releasing the ions is reduced because the sound passes through a portion of the blower fan 8 where an opening is relatively small. |
