ENGINE WARMING-UP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine warming-up device capable of rapidly raising the temperature of lubricating oil by heating a sliding bearing for a crankshaft.SOLUTION: A journal part 5A of a crankshaft 5 is rotatably and pivotably supported by a sliding bearing 4, and a heating means 6 is mounted on a bearing cap 3. During the warming-up of an engine 1, the heating means 6 is heated by the power to be supplied from a control circuit 12, and the temperature of the lubricating oil of a sliding section of the sliding bearing 4 is rapidly raised. Further, a thermoelectric element 14 is connected to an exhaust system component 15 (an exhaust pipe), and during the warming-up mode, the thermoelectric element 14 generates the power by the heat of the exhaust gas, and the power is supplied to the heating means 6 via the control circuit 12. During the warming-up mode, the temperature of the lubricating oil can be rapidly raised, and the power consumption of the heating means 6 can be suppressed.
