Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, image forming method, and program that enable setting of the size and type of paper set in the paper feed tray of an image forming apparatus, without the intention of a user.SOLUTION: In the printing system 1 according to the present embodiment, a user terminal 3 transmits a print job including paper feed tray information specifying a paper feed tray for feeding paper used for printing image data, and paper setting information indicating paper used for printing the image data. An ink jet printer 2 receives a transmitted print job. In a case where a paper feed tray has been specified by the paper feed tray information included in the received print job, paper setting information preset to the specified paper feed tray is changed to the paper setting information included in the received print job. Image data are printed on paper fed from the paper feed tray in which paper setting information matching the paper set information included in the received print job has been set.
