PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation section 102 which is capable of easily inputting a setting condition of setting item keys which could not be comprehended by character strings displayed in an initial language.SOLUTION: The operation section 102 comprises instruction detection means 403, other language receiving means 405 and character string change means 404. The instruction detection means 403 detects an instruction indicating that a character string of a predetermined setting item key, among a plurality of setting item keys, is to be changed into a character string translated in any other language different from a language of the relevant character string. When the instruction is detected, the other language receiving means 405 displays the character string translated in the other language in the vicinity of the character string of the setting item key in the relevant instruction so as to be pressed as another language switching key. When the other language switching key is pressed, the character string change means 404 changes the character string of the setting item key corresponding to the other language switching key and the character string relating to the relevant setting item key into the character strings translated in the other language and displays them.
