PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus and a method for determining operation of the same, configured to reliably determine whether a switch is normally operated by a user, and enhances its safety when the user operation is abnormal.SOLUTION: A control means 51 detects, at predetermined intervals, an input signal 66a received based on operation of a first switch 121 to start supplying power to a control means 51. An input signal 55a has a first signal level where the first switch 121 is not operated, and a second signal level where the switch is operated. A first switch operation determination means, which determines presence of the operation to be performed on the first switch 121, determines that the operation is performed to the first switch 121 to start supplying power to the heating means, when the input signal at the second signal level is detected continuously at least a second number of times since the input signal at the first signal level is detected continuously at least a first number of times.
