Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery type fuel battery which allows the improvement of the durability without sacrificing the power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: The secondary battery type fuel battery comprises: a fuel-generating member 1 operable to generate a fuel by means of a chemical reaction, and renewable by means of a reaction reverse to the chemical reaction; a fuel battery unit 2 operable to generate electricity by means of a reaction between an oxidant containing oxygen and the fuel supplied by the fuel-generating member; and a volume-changing mechanism (e.g. a bellows-shaped pipe 7) operable to change the volume of a closed space in which a fuel electrode of the fuel battery unit and the fuel-generating member are sealed. The volume-changing mechanism increases the closed space volume as the temperature of the closed space becomes higher.
