Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ball nut 1, having a wide allowable range of heating time, current value, frequency or the like in performing high frequency quenching, thereby contributing to automation.SOLUTION: In the ball nut 1 as an end product, a through-hole 2 penetrating in the axis direction is formed. A spiral groove 5 is provided on the inner circumferential surface 3 of the through-hole 2. In a production process, a drill 30 or a mill is abutted to a chamfered part 22 to drill communication holes 6, 7, while the communication holes 6, 7 are not penetrated but a wall 25 is left in the back. Subsequently, an induction coil 31 is inserted into the through-hole 2 and the inner circumferential surface 3 of the through-hole 2 is subjected to high frequency induction heating. In the following step, the drill 30 or the mill is again inserted into the communication holes 6, 7 to break the wall 25 in the back of the communication holes 6, 7, and the communication holes 6, 7 are finished. |
