INFLATOR TYPE EMERGENCY BRAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator type emergency brake which enables smooth action of explosive force and quick emergency brake operation by eliminating actuation delay due to air pressure with a simple structure.SOLUTION: In a wedge-cam type brake which performs brake operation by spreading and oscillating a base end portion of a brake arm by means of cam action of a wedge-cam 10 caused by axial movement of a camshaft 11 accompanying supply of air, there is less efficiency loss and chance of damage due to interposing of complex parts like conventional technique, because explosive force is directly and smoothly applied in the direction of actuation of the camshaft 11 by eliminating actuation delay due to air pressure with simple structure by installing an inflator 21 which explodes when receiving emergency stop command signal and then moves the camshaft 11 in the direction of brake operation and quick and efficient emergency brake operation is enabled, and there is hardly free running time by performing to produce brake force instantaneously and therefore, safety is enhanced.
