Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition capable of obtaining polyester fiber with high quality such as an excellent color tone and excellent glossiness by taking specific measures in a polymerization process to stabilize operability in a fiber spinning and drawing process and following treatment processes.SOLUTION: In the polyester resin composition, a polyester resin having principal repeating units consisting of ethylene terephthalate includes particles, which are formed of an alkaline earth metal carboxylate and a phosphoric acid ester and have an average particle diameter of 0.01-3 μm, and germanium oxide to satisfy following expressions: (a) 100≤M1≤500; (b) 0.5×M1≤P≤1.5×M1; (c) 20≤G≤150 where M1, P and G respectively represent a content (ppm) of alkaline earth metal atoms, a content (ppm) of phosphorus atoms, and a content (ppm) of germanium atoms for the obtained polyester resin composition.
