PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when the contact detection line connecting a welding power source and a wire-feeding unit comes down, a welding wire overstands from the top of a welding torch in an inning operation.SOLUTION: An arc welding device comprises: a welding power source having the control functions of the welding voltage and wire feeding amount; a wire feeding unit having a wire feeding motor and connected to the welding power source; and a remote control unit which is formed by a welding current-setting unit setting a welding current setting value, a welding voltage-setting unit setting a welding voltage-setting value and an inching button outputting an inching signal and which is connected to the welding power source. The device is characterized in that while an inching button is pushed, the welding power source makes the wire feeding motor feed at a first feeding rate, calculates a feeding amount, and controls the feeding rate to make the welding wire feed at a second feeding rate slower than the first rate when the feeding amount of the welding wire reaches a predetermined reference feeding amount.
