Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation method of metal ions that can, after catching the metal ions contained in a metal ion-containing solution, recover the metal ions by dissociating by a simple operation, and also can make the material used to catch the metal ions a reusable material without passing any complicate operation.SOLUTION: The separation method of metal ions includes: a complex formation process for contacting the metal ion-containing solution with a copolymer obtained by at least copolymerizing a monomer (A) that has a polydentate ligand coordinated to a metal atom and a hydrophilic monomer (B) to form a metal polymer complex; a complex separation process for separating the metal polymer complex; and a metal ion dissociation process for dissociating the metal ions from the metal polymer complex to separate into the metal ions and the copolymer.
