Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method that are capable of accurately correcting a flicker component even when the flicker component abruptly changes due to a change in a driving method for an image sensor.SOLUTION: Using control information for controlling a driving state of an image sensor and a flicker component detected from an image signal obtained from the image sensor, a correction value for correcting the flicker component is predicted, and the generated correction value is applied to correct the flicker component.
