PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination device, a determination method, and a program which can prevent predetermined input from being recognized by a third person.SOLUTION: A touch panel operation unit 101 detects movement trace of an input unit 200. A touch panel input/display processing unit 106a decomposes a detection result by the touch panel operation unit 101 into predetermined units. An authentication processing unit 106b uses decomposition results by the touch panel input/display processing unit 106a to determine whether predetermined input is performed. The authentication processing unit 106b does not use the movement trace of the input unit 200 itself, but the decomposition results of the movement trace of the input unit 200 in predetermined units, to determine whether the predetermined input is performed.
