SOUND SOURCE IDENTIFICATION APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS INTERLOCKED WITH SOUND SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source identification apparatus capable of identifying a sound source from a sound emitted from sound sources such as an acoustic musical instrument, a natural sound, and a sound made by human beings or living things, and the like.SOLUTION: A sound emitted from a sound source is analyzed to produce property data that express its properties to be registered to a sound source database. A sound recorded via a microphone is analyzed to produce property data. Then, a correlation operation is performed on the property data and the property data registered to the sound source database, and a sound source is identified by identifying property data having high correlation value. When producing the property data, since differences in high frequency components are not so obvious (a) (b) in spectra obtained by a frequency analysis, respective frequency components are multiplied by weight that increases as frequency values increases to reveal the differences in high frequency components.
