The polypeptide is effective in prevention/amelioration/treatment of diseases such as burns, decubitus, wounds, skin ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and ulcers caused by occlusive arterial diseases, arteriosclerosis obliterans and the like. The polypeptide is also effective as antibacterial agent in prevention/amelioration/treatment of diseases such as burns, decubitus, wounds, skin ulcers, leg ulcers, and diabetic ulcers.
