Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing microalgae in which the microalgae are cultured using a medium made by using oxidizing slag as the supply source of trace metals.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for culturing microalgae capable of being cultured in an acidic side (e.g. microalgae of the genus Pseudochoricystis), wherein the medium, obtained by adding at least the oxidizing slag (the slag generated in the oxidation period of a steelmaking process) and a compound as a nitrogen source (urea or the like) to water, is used, the ratio of the initial iron quantity [Fe] dissolved in the medium and the initial quantity of nitrogen [N] dissolved in the medium ([Fe]/[N]) is adjusted to be ≥0.0002, the initial hydrogen ion index is ≥2.5, and the hydrogen ion index is kept converged in the range of ≥2.5 and
