PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent electrode element which allows the visibility of an electrode region composed of a transparent conductive film to be reduced to a limit.SOLUTION: A transparent electrode element 1-1 includes a substrate 11, an electrode region 15 which is formed on the substrate 11 by using a transparent conductive film 13, and an insulation region 17 arranged adjacent to the electrode region 15 on the substrate 11. In particular, the insulation region 17 is provided with a plurality of random island patterns 17a including patterns with a width of 100 μm or larger composed of the transparent conductive film 13, which are arranged spaced from each other.
