PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device that can simply perform arithmetic processing and has high reliability from a driver.SOLUTION: A driving support device includes: information acquisition means 11 for acquiring vehicle information on other vehicles in the periphery of a subject vehicle and route information on the surroundings of a route on which the subject vehicle travels; periphery determination means 13 for determining whether or not there exists an object obstructing visible recognition of a driver in the periphery of the subject vehicle on the basis of the vehicle information and the route information; visible recognition possible/impossible determination means for, on the basis of the vehicle information, determining whether or not there exists an object which cannot be visibly recognized by an object which obstructs the visible recognition of the driver among the other vehicles; and notification means 16 for, if there exist the other vehicles which cannot be visibly recognized, notifying the driver of the fact.
