PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively acquire both of the effects of noise reduction by smoothing in a spatial direction and smoothing in a time direction.SOLUTION: An image display system comprises a spatial noise reduction part 4 for smoothing an image in a spatial direction and a time noise reduction part 5 for smoothing an image in a time direction, both of the noise reduction parts being connected in series. Consequently, smoothing in a spatial direction and smoothing in a time direction are executed overlapping on the same image. This allows for effective acquisition of both of the effects of noise reduction by respective smoothing in a spatial direction and smoothing in a time direction, which makes it possible to greatly reduce noise in the image.
