VIDEO SPECIAL EFFECT APPARATUS AND VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduced size and reduced power consumption and to provide a video special effect apparatus capable of executing processing at low cost without any delay by reducing the number of DRAMs arranged in parallel.SOLUTION: The video special effect apparatus reads an input video picture from a dynamic memory in accordance with addresses generated in a reading order providing desired video effects after writing the input video picture in the dynamic memory. The dynamic memory includes a memory element for storing plural macro-blocks; and a buffer memory for temporarily storing one macro-block read from the memory element. Data to be read from the buffer memory in a predetermined period is simultaneously read for each macro-block so that macro-blocks to be read from the memory element do not overlap in the predetermined period.
