Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing of a circulation adjusting valve and improve power generation performance stability.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 1 includes: a fuel cell stack 2 that generates power with supplied air including hydrogen and oxygen; an air supply passage 11 through which the air to be supplied to the fuel cell stack 2 flows; a cathode off-gas passage 12 through which cathode off-gas emitted from the fuel cell stack 2 flows; a compressor 10 that forces the air into the fuel cell stack 2 through the air supply passage 11; a cathode off-gas circulation passage 20 that branches off from the cathode off-gas passage 12 and is joined to the air supply passage 11 upstream of the compressor 10; a circulation adjusting valve 21 that is provided on the cathode off-gas circulation passage 20; and a heat exchanger 13 that is bridged between the cathode off-gas circulation passage 20 upstream of the circulation adjusting valve 21 and the air supply passage 11 downstream of the compressor 10.
