DISPLAY FOR SWITCHABLE PARTICLE BASE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a switchable PBD (Particle Base Display).SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a switchable PBD, including a process of packing a plurality of first type particles and a plurality of second type particles in each cell, the plurality of first type particles which being loaded with electric charges with first electric charge polarity having first electric charge density, and the plurality of second type particles which being loaded with electric charges which are electrically neutral in substance, or which is lower in second electric charge density than the first electric charge density of the first type particles in substance. Disclosed is the method of manufacturing the switchable PBD including a process of packing solution in each cell, the solution which being characterized by including electric charge control agent having the second electric charge polarity opposite to the first electric charge polarity, and the electric charge control agent which being characterized by having selective wettability, hygroscopic property, or absorption power in substance for the plurality of second type particles, and charging at least the plurality of partial second type particles with the second electric charge polarity in each cell. Therefore, at least the plurality of partial second type particles are charged in each cell with the second electric charge polarity.
