Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition, such as an acrylic resin, having a low birefringence rate and hardly containing foreign materials; and also to provide a method for preparing the same.SOLUTION: The method for preparing the thermoplastic resin composition comprises a process of filtering purification for a thermoplastic resin with a main chain consisting of an aliphatic compound by using an extruder 2 equipped with a polymer filter 4 having the filtering precision of not more than 10 μm under the condition that the melt viscosity of the resin becomes not more than 800 Pa sec at the shear rate of 100/sec.
