Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surrounding monitoring device that can photograph the neighborhood of a vehicle without damaging the appearance of the vehicle.SOLUTION: The surrounding monitoring device 100 includes: a light source 10 which is disposed on the vehicle 1 and irradiates the surrounding of the vehicle 1; and a camera 20 which photographs circumstances of the surrounding of the vehicle 1 with an optical axis changed by a mirror 30 toward the under side of the peripheral edge part S of the vehicle 1 irradiated by reflecting at least a part of light radiated from the light source 10 by the use of a mirror 30 disposed at more outer side than the peripheral edge part S of the vehicle 1.
