Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load carrying apparatus having a frame and a load transfer belt.SOLUTION: The load transfer belt transfers load from the load carrying apparatus to the user's hips. A rotary connection and a hinge connection 34 connect between the load transfer belt and the frame. The rotary connection permits the belt to rotate about a rotary axis of rotation 33, and the hinge connection 34 permits the belt to rotate about a hinge axis of rotation 35. The hinge axis of rotation 35 is perpendicular to the rotary axis of rotation 33.
