Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an automatic transmission capable of restricting reduction of the discharged amount of a mechanical oil pump even if air is mixed in the hydraulic fluid.SOLUTION: This control device for the automatic transmission includes a flow rate control mechanism configured to lead a part of the hydraulic fluid, which is discharged from the mechanical oil pump, into the mechanical oil pump when a differential pressure between an upstream side and a downstream side of a narrow part provided in a discharge passage, in which the hydraulic fluid discharged from the mechanical oil pump flows, becomes larger than a predetermined value. In the case wherein oil temperature of the hydraulic fluid is equal to or higher than a predetermined oil temperature (S102) and wherein an engine torque is equal to or lower than a predetermined engine torque (S103), air mixed in the hydraulic fluid is compressed by increasing the line pressure as the differential rotating speed increases (S105).
